女囚犯们 Reas

The term ＇rea＇ is used to describe both a woman prisoner and a woman who is promiscuous, slack or a prostititute. Who are the women and trans people who have been deprived of their freedom? How can this experience be transformed into the possibility of rewriting their own lives and inventing a future. Reas is a film about the women and transgender people who were detained in different prisons throughout Argentina. In the former Caseros jail, people who were deprived of their freedom for years reconstruct scences from their past life and imagine their future lives in the shape of a musical where they themselves sing, dance and perform.
