Once upon a time there lived a happy couple. One day the husband leaves for the capital to pass the state examination and the wife waits for his return. Suffering from the parents-in-law＇s cruel treatment, she kills herself by thrusting a dagger into her heart. No one can remove the dagger from her heart. After passing the examination, her husband comes home to find his wife dead. Lamenting her death, he takes the dagger from her heart. A blue bird then flies into the house. The blue bird, is in fact, his wife＇s soul. The husband spends his remaining life with it.
