Alone Together

In ALONE TOGETHER four women invite the public to reflect on digital connectivity, online empathy, attention, isolation, and absence in a multi-layered narrative. The film investigates our cohabitation with technology, consumerism, and celebrity culture. While the eyes of the performers linger through the digital windows on the happenings of the world, the viewers watch their bodies as they stare at their screens. Physical and digital body parts fuse into hybrid shapes, screens of mobile phones melt together with the bodies that host them. ALONE TOGETHER deals with the narcotic distraction from consumer and celebrity culture and questions the value that we as a society give attention to today.
