Pseudosphinx is the scientific name for fire caterpillars that soon turn into butterflies, or as they are commonly called (and auspiciously): witches. These butterfly-witches are related to different myths. The Pseudosphinx is at the same time sphinx ("sphinx"), an inhuman conical monstrosity that poses puzzles, and pseudo, which refers to the artificial, false, deceptive, unreal, illusory and mimetic. Pseudophynx keeps its meaning hidden, like a secret kept by those who keep the haptic impression of their fight on their retinas.
