A film that attempts to connect with the dead in different ways: exploring the liminal spaces of a new city, summoning up memories recorded long ago, remembering a Luis Alberto Spinetta song in silence. Images of a freezing Montreal speak of vast distances. Is beauty possible when it’s cold outside? When you are from the south, it’s hard to tell. Warm memories of home take over.
