Língua d'água

Songs of whales, bird calls of Cory’s shearwaters, transatlantic letters, radio signals. Water Tongue reflects on the many forms of communication on Earth. Mariana, who is Azorean, and Stella, who is in Lisbon, communicated over long distance.

Water tongue. Would it be women communicating with whales, or children guided by prophetic dreams?

Mariana lives in Azores, Stella in Lisbon. Separated by an ocean, they meet again in the archipelago to listen, gaze and create a polyphonic orchestra composed of multiple voices, human and non human.

Together, they dive into the land and the sea, where whales sing, letters travel and ways of feeling and communicating are reinvented.
