This film explores migration through a dreamlike lens, following a young artist from one of India’s most stigmatized communities during his disorienting first year in the "first world." Movement and glimpses of the moon connect his two worlds visually, while poetry anchors his internal journey.

Raised reciting Brecht in Hindi with comrades—“Will there be singing in the dark times? Yes, about the dark times”—he recalls a clarity found in community, even amid stigma and police violence. “You say we are born criminals. We say we are born artists.”

Now, he navigates the coldness of transit and shadowy figures until protests following George Floyd’s murder offer a new grounding. Shared rhythms of resistance link disparate geographies, highlighting the resilience of collectivities. This poetic meditation reflects on survival and connection across borders, rooted in the enduring spirit of community.
