The story is based on the true story of a painting heist in Paris’s Museum of Modern Art in 2010. It revolves around the trio of thieves who stole works of art by Picasso, Matisse and Modigliani worth 100 million euros. The three criminals were eventually sent to prison but the paintings themselves were never found… The outlandish ups and downs of these real-life events will be explored in an offbeat, Coen-brothers-style, embellished with a critique of the increasingly absurd sums at play in the world of art.
