"Babalagama Purana Naga Len Viharaya" was founded in the late 15th century. In 2007 October 3rd, from the arrival of most venerable Dellathagare Nandasara Thero the sacred Sri Lanka location has turned in to a meditation Centre well known as "Dassana Buddhist Centre" which teaches Mindfulness meditation from the Theravada tradition.
The Sanwara Temporary Ordination Program offers a unique opportunity for individuals to experience monastic life, focusing deeply on mindfulness and Vipassana meditation. This program allows 14 men and 5 women to ordain as monks for a transformative period.
