LU, an award-winning animator, dreamed of making a feature film. However, his mother died in a traffic accident, his father committed suicide, and his community fought against government land seizures that threatened his studio. After a decade of struggle, LU, a single homosexual man, went to Ukraine to find a surrogate mother during the Covid-19 pandemic. He created a family and found the strength to draw again.
