Synopsis

Francesca Mannocchi reports on the Russian-Ukrainian conflict with a documentary that begins in the city of Bucha, three weeks after it was liberated from the Russian occupying forces. The director collects the stories of the survivors, the only ones who conserve the Memory, because the truth is carved into their skin.

COMMENTARY

Francesca Mannocchi,traveling the liberated streets of Bucha, Borodianka and Irpin, she understood that reporting on a war means first and foremost to listen to the voices of those who experienced the horror and the suffering it carries with it. The documentary not only raises fundamental ethical questions but leads viewers to reflect on the folly of war, immersing them in the life and history of a context that apparently seems far away, and bringing them face to face with the stories of the common people.
