My Father's Diaries

Bekir and Ado Hasanović, father and son, both survived the Srebrenica genocide of the Nineties. While Ado left on a UN convoy together with his mother and siblings, Bekir went through the so-called "death march", the path through which twelve-to fifteen thousand men (as reported in ICTY Court Records) desperately tried to escape from the massacre that was erasing Bosnian Muslims from the region. Twenty-four years later, Ado and his father walk down the same path together. The walk will give the two men the opportunity to face what they went through and to speak with each other of their experience, for the first time in their lives.
