Bury Our Hearts at the Bend of the River

The River Lee has long held a fascination for Cork artist Aoife Desmond. Bury Our Hearts at the Bend in the River captures her, accompanied by dance artist Siobhán Ní Dhuinnín and performer Kanako Haru, creating a number of spontaneous interactions and performances between the source and the mouth of the river.

Golden hour dawns and mist-covered landscapes are given an extra iridescence thanks to the particular magic of hand-processed 16mm film, spinning the ecstatic in the Edenic setting.
