Esrever breaks the smooth, uninterrupted motion of contemporary video into fragments through editing techniques. The film begins with footage of people doing their activities in a park from the point of view of a rotating camera. From a seemingly slow motion, the movement becomes faster and faster, until the recorded objects are no longer visible individually, leaving only glimpses of blended colors. Interruptions to the video appear from the overlaying of two or three layers of images with different levels of transparency until they become repetitive fragments of movement. Like a collage artist who breaks down images into disruptive new forms, Esrever‘s filmmaker creates a collage of time.
