Unveiling poignant tales of accused witches in remote villages in the Northeast of India, the film unfolds as a filmmaker embarks on a journey triggered by a discovered journal. The film＇s storyline revolves around the filmmaker＇s exploration of a journal filled with painful memories, meticulously documented by Monjula, shedding light on women branded as witches in their village as well as her own mother. This narrative weaves together the filmmaker＇s memories, presented as recollections and reflections, intertwining with the collective memory of the survivors. While attempting to interpret the diary, the filmmaker simultaneously reflects on her own experiences in the village. Throughout the film, she navigates the delicate task of retelling the survivors＇ trauma, employing voiceovers from both herself and the women to express the resilience and strength that emerge in the face of patriarchal oppression.
