“Ha! That tickles! Well… uh, welcome… to my brain.” In 2028, Health Canada launches an anonymous online platform where anyone can stream their brain activity to get a brain massage. In this short interactive animation film, you are one of the masseurs, evoking a stream of emotions and memories in a stranger.

By swiping the screen, you massage the brain of D., and see the effect it has on this young woman. Under the influence of your movements and those of other online masseurs, D.’s emotions take on fluid forms, from soothing waves and clear images to violent scratches. A nursery rhyme floats to the surface, and memories of her mother’s soup, but also feelings of uncertainty, which take the form of an irritating little man.

During this virtual treatment, D. is your disarming audio guide in the fascinating museum of her own head, offering an original view of the wonderful workings of our brain.
