Sonaggios tells the story of two families from Tonara, the Floris and the Sulis , who carry on the ancient tradition of manufacturing cowbells , struggling - with two different philosophies - to preserve it from extinction.
The history of this ancient instrument that fulfills multiple social functions - sound deterrent for theft, calming for livestock and symbol of honor and prestige for shepherds - starts from Tonara, a small town in Barbagia.
