Master of Divinity

A comedy produced by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Lee Isaac Chung (MINARI) and Heejeon Kim. Written and directed by Eugene Suen. Josh is a filmmaker and ex-seminarian who spends his days at home trying to write. His wife Irene works a tough day job in order to support them financially. Together, they attend prayer meetings at a small church in Koreatown, Los Angeles, where practices like group prayers and prophecies give the attendees much-needed emotional support. Josh, however, finds it all ridiculous and irritating. Everything comes to a head one night, when the deeply religious Irene tells him that God is calling her to quit her job. Stressed out about the situation, Josh decides to take the matter into his own hands.
