A tribute to love and being together. Sidsel and Christian have Down＇s syndrome and have been together since they were teenagers - and now they are getting married.

＇A Married Couple＇ is a tribute to love and being together. Sidsel and Christian are both 26 years old and live together on a family farm on the Danish island of Funen. They have known each other for 10 years, been together for 6, and now they are finally getting married. Sidsel has been dreaming of this since she first met Christian, as she is a bit of a romantic, and consistently calls him ＇her prince＇. At the same time, she feels that marriage is a necessary step to maintain the magic of the relationship and ＇feel something inside＇. Sidsel and Christian have a very special and spontaneous approach to the world and to love. They both have Down＇s syndrome, and they relate to the world and to each other quite honestly and with no filters - and often with a surprisingly poetic, original perspective and a philosophical foundation.
