This film is a celebration of the oldest feature film in world cinema history. It traces the sorrowful exploits of the last 19th century outlaw Ned Kelly and his gang who despite their criminal activity became Australian folk heroes. Unfortunately only 14 fragmentary minutes remain of the original archival print. This video essay brings the film to life with an expansion of the key moments of the original with other cinematic fragments from other films.
