This short film presents a new performance by the vocal ensemble Les Rugissants, interpreting Slava (1990) by Lessia Dytchko, a masterpiece of the Byzantine rite that strikes a delicate balance between tradition and modernity, giving it a vibrant and dynamic character. This recording was filmed at Saint Sophie Orthodox Church in Montreal, inspired by the renowned Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv. The church serves as a symbolic gathering place for the Ukrainian community in Montreal.
