Hooked

Hooked follows filmmaker Glen Fulthorpe＇s raw exploration of his father＇s heroin addiction. Intercutting haunting archival footage with present-day encounters, Glen revisits a pivotal moment from 2006 when he filmed two young addicts, arranged by his father Steve. When Steve overdoses during filming, it sets off a chain of events that Glen grapples with for years. The documentary tracks Glen＇s journey as he reconnects with both addicts—one now in recovery, the other still struggling—while seeking answers about his father＇s addiction and death. Confronting his own battles with anger, forgiveness, and fatherhood, Glen offers an introspective look at addiction＇s far-reaching impact, generational trauma, and the path to healing.
