Through the village＇s eldest, Rosa, we learn about its history. All the while, we meet more locals and not least new inhabitants that make this place a multi-national community, coming to life with get-togethers and kick-sled racing events. Susann and Karin from Stockholm, Robyn from America, Mariann from Holland, and Oliver from England, are all stand-out personalities that make the most enjoyable company.

Woven into feel-good moments of today＇s life in Tornedalen, the film delves into a time when children were living in workhouses instead of homes, losing their language and culture. This story leads us to the reburial of skulls stolen from this very village 150 years ago.
