The life and work of a German composer, teacher and conductor, who is almost hundred years old of age, based in a province town of São Paulo, Brazil: this is Ernst’s Movie.

Paolo Gregori goes in search of one of the world＇s greatest music composers: Ernst Mahle, a friend of Ernst Krenek, Karl-Heinz Köllreuter and Olivier Messiaen. He hides in the Brazilian province town of Piracicaba, since the 40＇s, fleeing the Second World War. In Brazil he continued his carrier as composer, maestro and music teacher. He is, as the shooting begins, 94, but still active. Gregori follows his last days...
