Nevermind

Luz, a stoic, pragmatic woman and Raio, a chaotic, non-binary prankster, work the overnight shift at a gas station in the middle of nowhere in rural Germany. Although there’s never much work to do at this time of night (aside from the odd drunkard or truck driver), the unlikely pair also doesn’t have much to talk about. Their realities seem quite opposite: Raio is a migrant who, chasing the European dream, fell flat back to reality in this small German village. Luz, born and raised there, has always had secret desires to leave the village, but never made it. Breaking the awkward silence, a single customer turns up, asking them to refill his tank and wash his car while he makes a trip to the bathroom. After he’s gone a while, the workers begin to suspect it’s not just a bad case of the runs. The customer has mysteriously vanished without a trace, leaving his car behind along with a world of possibilities, responsibilities, and questions. This abandoned car becomes a playground for the workers’ fantasies. And, as they begin to plan their real and imaginary escapes from their mundane reality, a connection unfolds between them during this trippy night.
