Far from the postcard portrait, this film offers a personal point of view on the landscapes of Minganie, in the Côte-Nord region. Following the rhythm imposed by the elements, Sylvain L＇Espérance, patiently observes the sea, the plants, the rocks or even the clouds in their cohabitation and in their interactions with the light of a sun that draws their contrasts. Through a visual and sound research of great aesthetic precision, a natural reality is affirmed that only exists through the artistic gaze posed using a technique that imposes its presence and that of the filmmaker. This feature film embodies the possibilities and the limits of their digital source, in an approach that sometimes even transforms the material into an abstraction.
