Teresa Moda

This is a project about the strike of workers in the textile industrial zone in Prato, Italy. Eighteen Pakistani workers led by the SI Cobas union have been on strike for over four months against a Chinese printing plant. They were isolated by the Chinese community, the local government and other large unions in a determined protest of different forms. In this project, the author, a Chinese artist, tells the story of his arrival and observations from the river and labor. The hope is to create a long neglected narrative out of this silence breaking and controversial event. The Chinese workers and the Pakistani workers are the main subjects of this microcosm of capitalist globalization.
