In 1959, the Dydes, a couple from the Canadian Prairies, built a house in the woods and chose an unknown architecture professor to design it. Just a few years later, Arthur Erickson would go on to become globally famous as the most influential architect in Canada, with over 40 prestigious international awards to his name. Although most thought the Dyde House had been lost or demolished, this secret early work was rediscovered in 2016 in remarkably good condition. The film tells the story of the house, the context of its creation, and the architects fighting for its future.
