Allihopa: The Dalkurd Story

The Dalkurd Football Club in Sweden represents one of the greatest underdog success stories in European sports. For this team made up mainly of Kurdish refugees, playing soccer is about more than just competitive sports. The members of Dalkurd play the game with pride and an awareness of their unique role in representing a stateless people. Since the founding of the club in 2004, the players have come to defy the odds, rising up Sweden’s soccer divisions step by step. Now, the club is vying to join Allsvenskan, the country＇s top professional soccer division and Sweden’s premier league. Allihopa (Swedish for "all together") charts the team’s efforts to win the last game they need to clinch the deal.
