La Exposición

The exhibition ＇Drawings of an era＇ was held in Malaga in 2018 to show drawings and paintings by David Guerrero Guevara, who disappeared in 1987 when he was thirteen years old. Soon, the media referred to him as ＇the painter boy＇ and, after years of investigations inside and outside of Spain, it is still unknown what happened to him.

Three decades later, we accompanied Antonia, David＇s mother, on a tour of the exhibition to remember her son＇s relationship with art, a vocation that he also shared with his two brothers.

Raúl, the little one, lives in London. During a visit to Malaga, he restores a drawing of David that Jorge, the older brother, recently found. Bringing those colors and strokes back to life will also be remembering a time, that of childhood in the eighties, that of spending hours pencil in hand with David. We will discover that Raúl has also dedicated his life to drawing and painting, with exhibitions in the London capital. However, when can someone be considered an artist?

For Raúl, the true artist of the family is Jorge, who conceived the idea of the exhibition and prefers to be absent when we record the restoration of the drawing. Jorge doesn＇t like cameras, but he is very present in David＇s works. We will get to know him thanks to what Antonia and Raúl tell us in a kind of portrait that, literally, will be composed before our eyes.
