Beth Carvalho, known as the "Godmother of Samba," was one of the greatest samba singers in Brazil. She helped discover many talented musicians and revitalized the musical genre. Her sensitive perception of reality led her to document the illustrious encounters she had during her 53 years on stage and in the world of pagode music. The documentary uses footage from her extensive personal archive, including super-8, VHS, mini-DV, cassette tapes, and photos, to provide a unique and intimate portrait of her life and career as a singular figure in Brazilian culture.
