Vento na Fronteira

The film was shot on the violent Brazil/Paraguay border, in the heartlands of Brazilian agribusiness. The team followed the rise of the ruralist caucus and its close ties with the Jair Bolsonaro government. At the same time, it offers an intimate portrayal of resistance from the region’s Indigenous women, their communitarian ideas and fight to save the planet. Given the political clout of the agribusiness barons, the process culminates in the women’s imminent loss of their constitutional indigenous rights.
