Aldeotas

The movie tells the story of two friends who separated for 17 years due to the turbulence and conflicts of adolescence in the small and conservative town of Coti das Fuças, in the Brazilian countryside. Levi, a poet tired of the abuses he suffers, makes a plan with Elias for both to flee to a big and tolerant city, but only one of them decides to go through with the plan. Levi escapes to the city, while Elias backs out at the last minute. At 50, Levi returns to reunite with his friend on the day of his funeral, where their memories are revived before the final farewell.
