SYNOPSIS

In mid-Chosun dynasty, the mountain village of Sambak was pretty much a widow＇s town because all the young, strong men of the village had been under requisition or at war. Under the menacing watch of Sambak village＇s landlord, Yun, the widows＇ livelihoods are being squeezed out. At night, the widows secretly satisfy themselves at the hut of Sambak Village＇s only available man, the idiot Sam-bong. Then one day at the market, Sam-bong coincidentally receives help from Yun＇s daughter-in-law, a woman whose virtue was known widely. Sam-bong adores the woman from afar and stops his nightly activities. Therefore, the widows of Sambak Village lose their only means of relieving their stress. Their hysteria become the cause of small and big commotions.
