The investigator’s office is placed in the middle of the miserable slum where the sun never shines, and where the inhabitants last hope is placed on the new leader, the illusionist "The great Hassan", which with glossy commercials is spreading the hope of a better world.

A doll-like woman is the enigmatic key person in the case that the investigator is on the lead - leads that are pointing straight to "The great Hassan". The deaththreat that rests over the remains of humanity might be possible to avert. But nothing is as easy as it seems. Guided by the woman the investigator is forced to everything - from crawling through dark recesses to enjoying the sexual pleasures of the artificial paradise.

Both literally and figuratively the ground is giving way beneath the investigators feet, and he finds himself finally betrayed both by the woman and of everyone else. The paradise was a trap, love a con and no one wants to know about the truth.
