赞德拉·波佩斯库简介

Xandra grew up on a steady stream of pirated films - which is how she became a cinephile. She studied Politics and Playwriting but then went on to work as a curator. All the while, she published short stories, wrote art criticism, and lent her pen to film and theatre directors. She is now making films.

In 2022, her short Un doi perfect had its premiere at the Kurzfilmtage Winterthur. In 2023, her short Sentimental Stories premiered in the international competition of the Venice Film Festival＇s Orizzonti section, and in 2024 Despre imposibilitatea unui omagiu premiered at the Locarno Film Festival.
