ThereasonIstartedwritingmovieswasbecauseIkeptgettingpartsthatIjustkindofsteppedinto.Ididn'thavetodoalotofworkandIendedupgettingsortofbored.WhenIfirststartedacting,allIdidwasworkonplaysandspendalotofhoursinthetheater.IwasimmersingmyselfinwhatIwasdoing.Iwantedtobethebestatit.Iwaslike,'I'mgoingtodothisandbethebestactorintheworld.'ThenIgotintothemoviebusinessandmaybeonceeverythreeyears,I'dgetapartthatIcouldactuallysinkmyteethinto.ThereasonIstartedwritingwasbecauseIdidn'talwaysgetthoseparts.IfiguredIcouldwritemyselfplaysandperformthingsthatIfeltstronglyabout.Thatsetmeoffonwritinganddirecting.Iendedupthinking,'Icandothistoo.'Igotreallypassionateaboutwritinganddirecting.AndnowthatI'minmyearly30s,I'mgettingpartsthatIcanreallysinkmyteethintoit.NowIcangobacktowhatreallygotmeintoacting,whenitwassomethingthatIwassuperpassionateabout.
