Martin Jauvat grew up in Chelles. A self-taught filmmaker, he began directing self-produced films in his hometown, Les vacances à Chelles and Mozeb. His first “produced” film, The Blood in the Vein, was selected by many festivals, including the 2022 César short-film competition. His first feature film, Grand Paris, was presented at ACID at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
He also frequently acts in short films. Winner of Gan Fondation for the cinema, Baise-en-ville is his second feature film.
